November 2010 SAT - Writing

Well im at -1. Im reasonably confident that “That the funding…” was correct as is. So i have -1 so far! Dang it. If i get an 11, which i did last time, I could get an 800!

oh i think i put at the end of the second to last paragraph. the one where it said he crashed but he didn’t stop building planes. i put it right there

so you left the “too” in there? i was trying to figure out whether to remove it or to leave it. i think i left as is. cause i felt like the too was kind of awkward but it was necessary.

(this question was probably easy) but to improve the part about the wright brothers. did you say during the time the wright brothers blah blah blah, [asian guys name] was blah blah blah

ummmmmm i totally didn’t put the talk more about chinatown one. i don’t even know. i am just wrong on everything for these paragraph improvements

LOL me2.

I just remembered i put B for the improve wright brothers part. It was to TAKE OUT the WHEN.

ALSO TELL ME HOW MANY NO ERRORS U GUYS GOT

i cant remember…i know i got that one right though. cause all the other answers were a joke

I had the board game improving paragraphs and had 1 NE (Burton getting pizza in Chicago), but I was unsure about “that the…” I had it as NE, but then in a later section I saw that used so I guess that means 2 NEs? Not too positive.

Also an improving paragraph question, it’s best to delete the sentence about how to get a club started on campus?

oh sorry gensis i just reread your last 2 posts and i seriously missed like 6 lines that you typed. like i asked a question that you had already answered hahaha

i’m not sure how many NE i put because i didn’t think too much about anything that wasn’t paragraph improvement. i wasn’t stuck on anything so i don’t remember it, you know? but i’m positive i got 1-2 NE. not that many at all.

WAIT this might sound ■■■■■■■■ but question #12 or something early was something about a girl under the guidance of her father became some golf champion or something. was that NE?

I AM SURE THAT THERE WERE 3 NO ERRORS NOW THAT THE “RECORDING IT” QUESTION IS RESOLVED.

tHE 3rd no error was the first problem of the page wit the last four problems of the sentence identifying errors section.

Yeah no error. The one after that was an error tho : subject-verb agreement

What was the first problem of the page with the last four problems? Like, the actual sentence?

^i don’t quite remember. i just remember looking at my answer sheet after finishing aand seeng that one of the NE’s was on that page.

What did you guys get for the question in the 10 min section about the filming thing?

It was like “The traffic was kept off the bridge for three hours while a crucial scene of a movie was being filmed”

I put no error although i remember myself debating on that and “while filming a crucial scene of the movie”

While filming a crucial scene

has no subject to it. Who’s filming it? Lol its exactly like the one you got wrong :P

^Yes i got that right!!! That was actually my reason for eliminating “while filming a crucial scene”

-1 and 11 essay=800!!! :)

:) good job dude

Ugh, that’s one I got wrong. I was stuck between those two and picked the wrong one. I had 4 NEs in the last 10 minute section. And that one was an NE, so is that 5?

I believe I had 2 NE’s in the 10 min section? I forget tho. Idk

@backfling: I got NE for that one as well (A) since the rest were wrong.

I actually had a lot of NE’s in the last section
3 or 4.

I cant remember. i got NE for #14 i think and NE for the film one. Can you remember any others that might have had NE? Even if it’s a little portion.
That may trigger something in me; I have pretty darn good memory.

anyone know what the fong yue paragraph improvement “what would improve this?” one where the answer choices were “say more about CHinatown” or “say more about the first flight” was?
