November 2011 - International SAT

@qwerty yeah, I think that was the experimental section - it was significantly simpler.
Seriously praying for 2250+

Oh, and I got the typist question in the math section wrong. Realistically, how bad do you guys think the curve will be this time? Would it put me below 770?

ughhh i made sum dumb dumb mistakes, i put peppers in lieu of carrots and for the question with pine college i counted hour 13-18 as being 6 hours, how lame of me ughhhhhh! i’m ashamed

was the answer of the question about the typist optiin B?

For the political passage, does anyone know the answer is for the question
asking blah blah “democratic principles” or something?
I remember two of the answer choices were:

 • the people are knowledgeable about public affairs
 • respectful of various beliefs/perspectives??

What what about the question about “herds” and “group think” and why they are in quotations?

Thanks

For the question about “herds” and “group think”, i think the correct answer is the one with “negative connotation” and “underlying attitude”.

Anyone can give me the question of which the answer is either three 8s or two 8s… ?

I cant remember that question.

Hey, anyone remember a question on poker chips in the Math section? The question went something like this: There are 45 poker chips in a box, and 3 of them are bonus chips, with the remaining being normal chips. Given that 6 chips were removed, and they were all normal, what is the probability of drawing a bonus chip next?

Answers?

Silverlin, it’s 3/(45-6) = 3/39 = 1/13

maths section : whats your answer to this 2 questions

1.there are 4 digit number no numbers are the same, 3 in the thousandth place and 2 in the unit place, whats the combination?
2. 3^-x * 3^-y = 1/27 whats the value of 3^-x - 3^-y

my answers are 10 and -2/9

thanks

I’ m not asking about any questions i’m asking about the curve.

What do you think it would be like for each section? Do you think they’ll reuse the curve they had for last year or make a new one based on hoe we did on this test?

I think the math is gonna be harsh because everyone is saying that it was easy so, I’m assuming a -1 =770, -2 = 750, -3 = 730, -4 = 710, -5 = 700

Cr might be a normal curve because it wasn’t hard but it also wasn’t super easy so
-1 = 800, -2 = 800, -3= 780, -4= 760 -5 = 750

What do you think?

@Chainzz, the answer is 4/9 because if you inverse the equations and use log base 3 considering 27 to be the third power of 3, then you end up with either x being 1 and y being 2 or vice versa (but not a problem there).
For your other question, you have to use the factorial. The number is 3 _ _ 2 and it gave a list of numbers that could go in there. I think there were 8 number possibilities (correct me if I’m wrong), and the numbers 3 and 2 are already used. So the hundreds place can have 6! and the tens place will have 5!.

@DMA 017 I think your math curve is about accurate. It was easy - pity I made a ■■■■■■■■ mistake. I disagree with your CR. Some Koreans have said that this test’s CR was quite difficult. I personally thought it was a lot simpler than the past, but I don’t know. I would guess that up to -3 = 800?

it have 7 numbers , so whats the answer?? for that , and if im not mistaken they ask to find the value of 3^-x - 3^-y not + tho. is it possible to have different questions because the center i went is the only center that doesnt rescheduled to 19nov.

Hey, does anyone remember about the candle question in Maths? I don’t understand the question clearly. Still wonder if it asked about the burnt portion or left portion.

Does ppl remember the answer for the bisector angle question?

Did you mean the question about the equilateral triangle with a bisector? I remember vaguely that the result is 30.

Guys… Please help me…

I took sat on Nov(international) but I also had taken sat on OCT in 2010(international).
As u guys know, Nov in 2011(international) is same as Oct in 2010(international).
Because of this fact, I seriously worry about extreme increase in my score especially CR Section. My one of friend suffers socore cancel of Oct in 2011 like my case…
I seriously think of canceling my score on my hand.
And I am very afraid of innocent score canceling and suspect of CollegeBoard.

Please… tell me about score policy of CollegeBoard and Solution…

Bearbox, I’m not sure what the Collegeboard policy is, but I don’t think you should worry. It’s not like you were cheating or knew ahead of time that the two tests would be the same. You would have to double check, but I don’t think it should be a problem.

I think you were wrong Unfathomable. 6! and 5! are too large and not related to this question.

Hey Guyz
Do You think we allowed to discuss the nov. SAT Cause it’s delayed in other countries ?
