November SAT Curve

So is this typically a good time to take the SAT? How's the curve?

Don't base your decision when to take the SAT on how past curves have been. The most significant difference you'll ever see between two curves will be 30 points--and that's only if you're comparing the harshest and most lenient curves and you're scoring in the 98th percentile. Furthermore, there's no reason to believe that just because one month has had a more lenient curve in previous years than others that it will have a lenient curve this year, especially since the new SAT has only been around for 3 and a half years.

Well, I was actually planning on taking it in November anyway. I was just wondering how the curve was compared to like the October SAT where the curve is notoriously bad.

See this is the problem with rumors. They'll all wrong.

October 2005:

CR: 800-800-800-790-770 ~ Low-average
Math: 800-790-760-740-720 ~ High-average

October 2006:

CR: 800-800-800-800-780-770 ~ High
Math: 800-800-770-750-730 ~ High

October 2007:

CR: 800-800-800-790-770 ~ Possibly the highest ever
Math: 800-780-750-730-710 ~ Low

Analysis: Not so notoriously bad, now is it?

Honestly, you shouldn't believe in curves. Just do your best and you'll be fine.

*October 2006:
