If you’re prepared, the test will be a breeze… (hopefully)
I’m nervous for the November test, too! :)

I have a feeling the CR section is gonna be hard. IDK call me paranoid cuz i’m trying to raise my CR score, but i think its going to be really hard.

Writing is prob gonna be easy as usual, and Math…well medium.

^JefferyJung you’re nervous!!! i’ve seen you destroying CR and math questions on CC, so i think you’re good lol!

I hope the Nov CR curve is as nice as the Oct one!

I get extremely nervous when I take tests… :’(
I think I’ll be fine… I feel a bit more prepared.

I don’t understand how the grading system works for the SAT. Lets say you got 12 wrong on the test, will u always get the same score, or do they look at other people’s score and then score your test? In other words, if there are 500 students who took the SAT test, and 499 students got all the questions wrong, and u got 5 questions right, one on Critical Reading, 2 on math, and 2 on writing, would you get 800?

what was the curve like for Oct? and same here, I’m feeling a bit more prepared this time around

I’m not exactly sure on this, so don’t quote me on this…
I think SAT score is relative to other test takers’ scores. If everyone were to perform poorly on the test, then the curve would be generous (since that would mean the test was difficult).

As far as I’m concerned, I just have to do well for myself. I don’t have to worry about curves or anything…!! -0 has never yielded less than an 800!!!

Each section (math, critical reading, and writing) is scored on a scale of 200 to 800, so the total score is from 600 to 2400. In detail, the method is this: For each section, your correct answers are added. Next, 0.25 points are subtracted for each incorrect multiple-choice answer, resulting in your raw score. Finally, a curve is applied to convert your raw score into a number from 200 to 800 for math and reading, and from 20 to 80 for writing.

The curve is designed to correct for minor variations in the difficulty of the test so that there is no advantage to getting an easier test and no disadvantage to getting a harder test.

The Oct SAT’s curve was the most generous one in the history of SAT. (there were that many… questionable problems).

0.0 lucky them!..you know what that means? this test could be quite the opposite :(

Don’t you guys think the October test was hard?
I hope November won’t be THAT hard…

Math was insane…
but they were super generous about the math
