November SAT test A Thread

i got like cave something for section 2 and then like something about the dad and the son for section 4 or 5. like that man put stuff on the window instead of something else, cuz he wants to save… or something like that.

i dun know which ones the real one

did you have the passage on changing books to movies for fixing paragraphs?

Was it less deliberate or more abstract? For the short passage. Did anyone else get duplicitous for one?

And for the Koala bear one Why couldn’t it be lassitude…fast. Lassitude means sleepiness or tiredness, and the second half of the sentence explained how the koala could have a limited diet so why couldn’t it be fast?

Also, what was the question for the doctoring…altruism one?
My other sentence completions.
Sneered…hodgepodge
Sonorous
inert?
something about bonne and clyde? historical…laudable?
punctuality…slovenly
panache
?..appropriate?
obstructed…progress? This one talked about a lady and an investigation?

well passage 1 was more abstract passage 2 was more anecdotal. I read it as compared to passage 1, passage 2 is…

dang that’s the first one I might have missed so far

for the clueless fixing paragraphs, the last question was asked what sentence would best be inserted after the last sentence of the paragraph.
2 choices were
most of the people who saw clueless when it first came out didnt even know it was adapted from Jane austens novel
like clueless, movies can be original while maintaining an essence of the book which they are portraying

i chose the former one because the “topic sentence” was making the story more modern.

anyone else get sneered…hodgepodge?

and no i dont think so… what was its context

can be original while maintaining

Others I remember for CR

disappointed
commonplace
One where it asked what would be comparable to something in the Grand Canyon Passage: An unexpected ending to a movie? Or watching a movie?
Fixed means unchanging?
Solid means substantial?
Tricky means difficult?
Humor as a defense for a novel concept
common sense can’t always be right?
Impertinent but others think impromptu? Why?
People in the scientific theory one believe that as long as an object is moving up it has an upward force?

I got 80 for the degree of something. It had a vertical angle of 40 and you got 60 plus 120 equals 180…so 60 plus 40 plux = 80?
Reflecting that point on a graph twice was point C?

sorry that was confusing.
what was the context of sneered and hodgepodge

@kendoll, it was like the first one on the next column for sen come
noting that the music pulled from country, jazz, folk, and even classical, the critic ___ the music as little more than __.
something like that, the words may not be exactly right

I got sneered hodgepodge.

alexsmith yeah I had the books and movies one - first section. Don’t think that was experimental.

guys for the fill in the blank math question

how the sum 6 numbers is 135,
and the arithmetic mean of 7 numbers is 23<x<23.5
asking what can be “one of the 6 numbers”.

this question made no sense at all…
can it not be any numbers since the seventh number can be anything?

oh yes. i remember that now. i remember putting sneered but for some reason i recall it being paired with variety.
but yes, the connotation of the first word was negative and the second a synonym for medly/assortment

OH! Does anyone remember the very first short passage -the one that begins with “I’m an inventor, I shouldn’t be cheating blah blah he grumbled”… What was the answer for those questions? I put 1) traditional and modern, forgot other choices. 2) appreciation

I actually didn’t fully understand this passage… can someone explain please?

basically it’s:
23< (135+x)/7 < 23.5
solve for x, you get a range what it could be.

appreciation. she kept talking about being lucky and content.

For that range question I put 28! I confirm traditional and modern question

no it wasn’t asking what the seventh number could be…
it was asking what can be one of those “SIX NUMBERS”

of course, the answer would be 27 or 28 if it was asking for the 7th number

heart2:
for that you had to use the equation (average)(quantity of numbers)=(total)
27 28 and i think maybe even 29 work
if you set it up it is, pick an average that is between 23 and 23.5
(23.2)(6)=162.4
before, the total was 135, so 162.4-135 = 27.4
then just plug in to check ( i think i said integer so i used 27)
(avg)(7)=(135+27) → avg is equal to 23.14
