i want to make my final decision by tomorrow.....i've had lot of talks with people around me about these two schools..... I mean, i know that Princeton has a big name and all that....but williams' education is as good as P right?
also since I'm not a native english speaker (almost 6 yrs since i came from korea), I would be better off at Williams to get better at english becaue of lots of class discussions, writing, etc. ??? also some people told me that when I apply to grad schools, Williams will support me A LOT and also the professors will help a lot! I do not know what kind of grad school i want to go yet......some people said the quality of education at Williams might be better than H or Y, but not Princeton. very confused right now.....by the way, i'm writing this at williams college library hehe...(i had to come here for my sister's concert)

Why don't you ask yourself how you feel, right now, on the campus. Does it feel like home for the next four years? You couldn't pick two better schools for a great undergrad experience, and if you take advantage of the opportunities offered by either, you will have your choice of great graduate opportunities. It's all about where you feel right, at this point. Your other concerns will all be taken care of, at either place.

krbxtigerz, the quality of education you will get at Williams is at least as good (if not better) than HY and P.

As driver pointed out, however, your decision should be based upon what school feels right for you. Don't base it on prestige (both are extremely prestigious), or academics (both are absolutely amazing). Each school has different other positives and negatives.

Williams is in the beautiful Berkshires. Princeton is in suburban NJ. Williams has 2,000 students. Princeton has about twice as many. Williams is a culture of inclusiveness...no frats, no specialty housing, etc. Princeton honors its tradition of eating clubs. Both are great in different ways.

you really can't go wrong, either way. just make sure you choose the one you feel most at home in =)

I'd say quality of education overall is a little better at Williams, as you will get a lot more attention from profs while there are no grad students to distract the top profs. ON the other hand, Princeton has more resources and more diversity of departments. It sort of depends in part what you want to study -- what are your academic interests? one thing is for certain, even though I'm sure far more people in Korea have heard of Princeton, it will provide no advantage over Williams, I mean none whatsoever, when it comes time to apply for any respected U.S. graduate school. Really, quality of education and opportunities is top notch at both. So just go where you think you'll be happier ... you can't make a wrong choice in terms of academics and post-grad opportunities

thanks for your inputs! I have decided to attend Princeton this fall....
but I still love Williams and have a great respect for the school. I will be able to visit many times since my sister goes there. I felt bad when I checked NO to on the reply card....but I am still happy about attending princeton this fall! thanks for everything williams people~~
