Now the PSATs are out, yay or nay??

Compared to your expectations, hopes, safety net, how did you fare?

Juniors, also comment on your improvements from last year (hopefully).

I met my reach. But I'm surprisingly not as happy as I'm supposed to be.

better, improved by 20 points! definitely a big surprise for me.

HUGE surprise. Improved by 33 points. Totally wasn't expected. Praise God!

I was pleasantly surprised, got 230+ on first try

I actually improved 200+ points, from a 179 to 199. This is good news for me because I was expecting a 190 or less. I am hoping for on my SAT to get a 2050 or maybe even 2000+.

Son went from 187 soph year to 207 this year. Hope to make the cut. We're so proud of him! Praying for a scholarship from Dad's work that goes to employees' children that make NMF. Not a full ride, but may pay air fare to Milwaukee.

PS. Look into this for your kids. Dad's or Mom's company may have something.

Got a 212 last year as a soph, with no prep. This year I did SAT prep through the summer and got 235 which is good enough even for NJ :D I was hoping for 220+ so I'm very happy.

Last year I got a 159.
This year I got a 200.
41 Point increase.
oh damn.

189 to 211. Missed a bunch of mediums got almost all the hards right =/

Friend of mine got 220 which hopefully will be good enough for NMF in Maryland!

Unless my state's cutoff randomly goes up, like, 8 pts, I'd say yay.

i think marylands cut off is 222, i got 221 myself =x

lol i got a 1980 from a 1760 and i got a 770 in math and 660 in CR, damn 550 in writing. If I had actually prepped for writing I would have gotten close to 220. I got a 760 on writing for the actual SAT

216 sophomore to 222 this year. Anyone know if I'll semi-final in VA?

^ You should be thats about good enough for everywhere. Anyway I loved it this year, score went up 21, and all I needed for NM was to match it.

Went from a 204 to a 225, which makes me very, very happy.

212 in Virginia... Good for NMSF?

nope... you need 218 or 220

I did extremely bad. 153, but I'm a sophomore. =/
To all you 200+, how did you prep for it to get such high scores?

^ just do a crapload of SAT practice tests. Soon you start noticing patterns in the questions (like half of CR is paraphrasing parts of the passages, etc.)

204-->231, in NY. YAY!
