i wonder if Davis will roll out decisions tomorrow with the big college thing starting on collegeweeklive

@hm5933, I tagged at ucsc!

My friend told me in math class this morning how she got her ucsb tag, and when i went to check my tag a couple of minutes ago, disappointingly it was still under review. :(

good luck!

Yay! UCSB TAG for 2012 has been successfully accepted! :)

@Draco hopefully they give the results out soon. last year I think ucsc tags had to wait until the 15th but I think they have a new system this year. I’m so scared and when they do submit the results I probably won’t read it for a few minutes bc of my anxiety lol

^ hey chelly congra ^^

@paintthebh there’s no way I could get into Davis lol. I hope that rep was just having a bad day I’ve heard a lot of good things about ucsc if I get accepted I would be the happiest girl in the world. no lie I would probably sing and dance for like a week straight

and good luck to everyone and to those who’ve already been accepted congrats!

@UCkitty

can a gpa of 3.0 get in UCR, UCSB, with a business major? if yes i may have easy time. My Gpa will fall around 3.0 since i may get a C in my anatomy class.

hmmm, for business though?

hmm, not sure about that. being that it’s riverside might be possible. are you IGETC certified?

pre-reqs? EC?

^^UCSB only majors closest to business is Economics. Unfortunately, one of the forum members got rejected from SB as a Econ/Accounting major with a 3.1 GPA

I just realized something.

I didn’t list any planned (PL) courses in the TAG coursework section.

Does this mean my TAG is automatically rejected for not following (what I’m just realizing were) the directions?

Got my TAG approval from UCSB! I’m stoked, if I don’t get into Berkeley then being a Gaucho is still a pretty damn good thing, especially considering I’ll be celebrating my 21st a couple months after the fall quarter starts ;)

do you guys think that even though I got a D in asl it will still count as transferable units? my tag counted it. and I put I that I got an F even tho I really didn’t to see what would happen… and the tag didn’t count the F. so it should count my D right? I’m so scared and annoying. lol sorry

I think I read on here someone saying they attended some event at UCSC and the rep said they were going to try and release notices about TAG early on, not till the last minute like last year.

And with that said, mine hasn’t updated yet. :(

@stressy
that was me, I asked another rep on my campus today about that and she said that she doesn’t know who told me that, but she was wrong, and that they are still working on reviewing them.

What is this? Specifically, UCSB people do you know what this message means? This is the response I got on the UC TAG site…

Thank you for your interest in UC Santa Barbara. You have successfully submitted your online TAG

TAG and admission status beginning mid March through the end of April. It is important to remember
that in order to maintain your TAG eligibility, you must meet the following conditions:

fall 2011 for fall 2012 admission.

Earn an overall minimum 3.20 GPA in all UC transferable course work and major preparation courses

Students who do not meet all TAG criteria may still be competitive for admission to UCSB.
Thank you for submitting your TAG form. UC Santa Barbara has much to offer you, and we look
forward to your becoming a part of our vital educational community.

@swagandtag: I got the same message along with pretty much all the other UCSB Tagger’s on here.

Someone earlier called and found out that there also might be a fail to meet criteria (rejection) letter as well but it is not confirmed.

lol i just got an email from uci admission application and i was like omg did i get in? and than it was just saying that it received an email from ucsc that i was also interested in their program xD. oooh the wait.

Screename1, I know the TAG like the back of my hand and I definitely fulfilled all the requirements.

^^Remember, UCSB TAG requires you to meet their minimum requirements by the END of Fall 2011 semester. Because they don’t know your Fall 2011 they can’t reject you or accept you yet, but you’ll find out if you been approved with your application.
