NP vs. PA .. help!

<p>Since I was 7, I wanted to be a doctor. Now, I'm reconsidering becoming an MD. The huge commitment to schooling really isn't for me and that's why I am contemplating whether to be a Nurse Practioner or a Physician Associate. </p>

<p>I know NP's education gears toward nursing. PAs are more on the medical side. Both work closely to doctors, however a NP has more independence.</p>

<p>I just wanted to know if anyone had opinions about NPs or PAs. Could anyone offer any insight on either career? </p>

<p>You could ask this in the Parents Forum. Don’t use abbreviations though. Write out the full word so that you catch the attention of the readers. You will get lots of useful information.</p>
