What does everybody know about the process of getting an ISR? (I also hear its called an ISD in some districts)

Whats it stand for?

OP,If you do a search, it's pretty easy to find the criteria. There are certain requirements like..must have SAT score of at least 1290 (m,v) with at least 650 on the math section.

ISD stands for Immediate Selection Decision.

There are a limited number of ISD's given. Just because you meet the requirements does not mean you will get an ISD. My S exceeded the requirements but was not offered ISD. He was offered the NROTC scholaship in mid-Oct. of senior yr though.
My advice would be to get your app. in as early as possible

This is interesting. In the years I've been watching, reading this site, I've never heard of USN offering ISD's. Army, yes. My understanding has been that Navy ROTC scholarships are awarded centrally, with none provided to campus officers to award.

When our Mid applied, he too received award in early Oct. and he had surpassed the alleged minimums. But his was awarded thru Pensacola.

Can anyone clarify?

From what I have read, an ISD is offered by the Recruiter.
