Vanderbilt <-is this a good school for med?
Purdue <-is this a good school for nuke e?

can you suggest some other college for med and nuke e?

and do you think its a good idea to first major in nuke e undergrad, then go into med in grad school? like radiology or something.

thanks.

Kind of an advanced field--so don't get confused.

You need to look up "Nuclear Medicine" (4 year degree plus med school), not Radiology (which any person with a two-year degree and 3 science courses can go into).

Nuclear Medicine is extremely specialized and talks about how to determine what chemical radioisotope treatments can be used to cure cancers and heart problems.

Some schools that specialize in this are Baylor, Emory, and UCSD--all with bachelor's programs leading to medicine and all which have medical schools--which are excellent--and I mean absolutely excellent (also tough to get into)--at all three of these schools.

If, however, you want to get a BS specifically in Nuclear Medicine (and which is a tiny bit easier to get into yet is a pre-medical curriculum designed for people who want to go into this area in medical school), such a course is offered at UNLV (University of Nevada at Las Vegas).

Here's a link to that program:

<a href="http://healthphysics.unlv.edu/nuclear-medicine.html%5B/url%5D">http://healthphysics.unlv.edu/nuclear-medicine.html</a></p>

P.S. I think I've chanced you before for the schools you listed--so I won't both repeating my "chances" for you.
