Is it necessary a good thing to fill up all 10 of the activities spot? I know that colleges often emphasize quantity rather than quality. Isn't 10 a bit too many?

necessarily* wow…sorry…it’s late

Who says quantity over quality? Show that you are well rounded, can commit to responsibility and have interesting interests. Not just school activities; some things you do for others.

Click on the question mark icon next to the activity instructions, and you’ll see the following:

“I am concerned that I will be at a disadvantage if I do not complete all 10 activity fields.–
The availability of 10 fields is not intended to imply that you should list 10 activities, nor is there any expectation that you will do so. Rather, the fields are available to provide you maximum flexibility in reporting and describing your involvements outside the classroom.”

yes i wouldn’t go for anything such as “reading” during 9-12th grades and done during school AND summer AND 14 hrs/w 52 weeks/y. phew. ;)

i meant “quality over quantity” sorry if that was confusing.
