Number of AP's for course rigor?

Hi all,
I am planning out my schedule for next year and am trying to decide how many AP courses to register for. I want my schedule to look strong, but also do not want to be overworked to the point of getting B's for the first time. My current schedule has 4 AP courses for next year, but it is not an easy schedule (this is all for junior year)...My question is, will dropping it down to 3 AP's weaken the rigor of my college app? Sophomore year I took AP Micro and AP Macro. The courses in question:

AP Chemistry
AP Psychology
AP Government
AP Stats
APES
AP Calc

These are the ones that I am thinking of, currently chem, calc, stats, and APES are on my sched.

Shouldn’t weaken it too significantly. I only took three AP’s in my junior year.

It all depends on what you would be replacing the 4th AP with, how many total AP classes your school offers, and maybe most importantly, how the guidance counselor at your school will check the rigor box on the college apps. Most schools have some sort of policy on this, so ask the guidance counselor directly. At our school it’s supposed to be 5-6 AP classes total to get the “most rigorous” box checked.
