Number of APs...

Well, my junior year I am definatley taking AP Chemistry, AP English Language, AP US History, AP Spanish, and Honors Precalculus. Now, I can't decide between AP Environmental Science and Acting for Production (advanced thearter class). I will take 5 APs senior year, so when I graduate I will either have 10 APs or 9 APs. My question is, will having one less AP hurt me much? I will be sacrificing AP Statistics. Any thoughts?

If it was AP English, I'd say it certainly may, but AP Stats? That class seems pretty useless to me, and I'm sure colleges wouldn't mind if you don't take AP Stats.

You have either 9 or 10 APs ahead of you. Don't worry about sacrificing AP Stats. You have a good courseload already.

AP Statistics isn't useless. It's really good to know how to do even basic statistics, as it's something you're deffinitely going to need to do in many areas of study. Real world applications, people!

So, acting for production/astronomy (semester classes) would be an OK substitute for AP Statistics?

yes because AP Stats is supposedly looked down upon as a "lesser AP". however, if you need the weighted gpa boost to up your class rank, you should consider taking it.
