Emory 32
@Houston1021
Where are you getting these numbers from?
Instagram and Twitter posts mentioning Questbridge where students post pictures of their letters or mention the info. Some schools mention the number in the letter. Other schools such as Pomona are posting info on social media. There is one pic of a girl in an Emory sweatshirt on Insta. In the comments she mentions the number of Emory QB admits.
Swarthmore 16
Vanderbilt 25
Colby 38
Rice 55 and Yale 55
@YYYW definitely not the end. Just one 11 days after not being matched, my D was accepted ED into her number one ranked school. Her financial aid ended up being exactly where she needed to it be even without the match, and her college search was over before Christmas break, which was the greatest gift of all!
WashU matched 30
Amherst College matched 18
Rice had 58 for class of 2025.
that is one sad showing for USC. Geez.
wow. Colby. 38 out of a class of maybe 500 kids? Thatās a big number.
@homerdog I wonder if Colby or Williams has come out with their numbers for this year. Just thinking about the already number of kids that postponed/deferred their enrollment. Those little liberal arts colleges could be packed tight next fall.
oh I thought those were the numbers for this year. Reading too fast!
@homerdog did the same and had to edit my response! haha! Trying to get used to this new format. I did compare a couple of those and it looks like they didnāt change much-
Rice 2019 55 vs 58 this year and I think Amherst took about the same number last year I read somewhere.
The number of kids that match to each school is not the number that the schools āaskā for the match. For example, Amherst had 18 match recipients. That doesnāt mean that admissions took 18. That number is how many were accepted after the algorithm did its thing. For instance, Amherst could have accepted 30, but 12 could have ranked another school higher, thus matching to that school. So there is no way to know how many students each partner school wanted, only how many they got after the algorithm. For instance, I know that several other schools wanted my kid, but only her first ranked school got her. Sorry for long reply, but the point is there is NO way to know how many students any school accepts, only how many they get after the computer does itās thing
@CottonTales, I thought thatās what everyone wanted to know ā how many kids did each school ultimately get to enroll through the match program?
Do we know what it is for this year?
I donāt know if any way to know how many each school got through the match. When a match recipient receives their letter, or e mail, usually it says something along the lines of āyou are one of xxx number of students accepted at xxx collegeā. Then I have seen it posted here. This year, very little traffic for results.
^^ I have noted that. Really too bad ā I always enjoy seeing where these talented students land through this process.
