Not choosing to match won’t hurt your chances. I think I read that on average during the regular decision process they take 50-75 students. I didn’t match with Yale but I’m reapplying regular decision.

Yale was my first choice for the college match. I wish I hadn’t done the match because I figured out afterward that most schools can only match students who have a 0 EFC. (I didn’t have a 0 EFC so I’m sure some didn’t even review my app)It was good for my friend that wasn’t a finalist for questbridge because she was accepted at Stanford early action. “Historically, Yale has matched with 1722 students each year through the College Match Process. Yale has also admitted between 5075 QuestBridge Finalists through the Regular Decision application process.”

Ya, but usually they stay around the same. I was just wondering if applying through the Match program has the same effect as applying regular. I guess not a big difference.
