There is a really annoying field in the SAT section of the Common App - number of times you have already taken the SAT. I have taken it 3 times but will send results from my last sitting only (since I got the highest in each section on it). Is taking the SAT 3 times considered inferior and in some way less impressive? And should I write 3 times when I will be sending results from only 1 sitting? ( so could I write just 1 time).

If the question asks how many times you have taken the SAT, and you have taken the SAT three times, why would you answer with just one time?

You don’t have to self-report any tests on the Common App- filling out that section is completely optional.

It does not seem to be that difficult to understand that question. It ask you how many times you have taken the test. It is 3 for you. There is no other allowed answer in your case. If you don’t want to answer that question, you may simply skip the self reporting of SAT1.

Yeah, you don’t have to self-report. I find the self-report section to be very odd; don’t all colleges request official SAT scores sent from Collegeboard?
