Hi everyone. I'm going to be applying to UCs this year using the common app, but I'm confused as to the number of essays we have to write.

UCs require two essays -
1) "Describe the world you come from for example, your family, community or school and tell us how your world has shaped your dreams and aspirations." (for freshmen) and
2) "Tell us about a personal quality, talent, accomplishment, contribution or experience that is important to you. What about this quality or accomplishment makes you proud and how does it relate to the person you are?" (for all applicants)

And for the Common App, you have to write one essay with six prompts to choose from.

So if I were to only apply to UCs using the common app, I would have to write /three/ essays total?

Sorry if this seems like a stupid question - this just occurred to me! Thanks.
