Numbers vs Extracurriculars

Does UVA place more emphasis on your grades and SAT/ACT scores, or extracurriculars (especially volunteer work)? For instance, I have a 3.86 GPA (with a total of 10 AP classes by the end of senior year) and a 1600/1600-2260/2400 SAT score along with many clubs (leadership positions) and varsity baseball, yet I have very little volunteer work. Do you think that will greatly hinder my chances, or should I not worry too much about it? Btw I'm in state if that makes a difference.
Thanks!

I think colleges would see right through a sudden start to volunteering if it hasn’t been part of your record. I think UVA values course rigour and grades more. I think you should focus on that, and continuing to excel in your current extracurriculars. And enjoy your high school time.

We have a holistic review process, so we are not purely numbers driven. What’s more, GPA is not standardized and can’t be used in comparing students.
