One of my top schools offers both Air Force ROTC and Army ROTC. I was wondering what is considered a better option for nursing students. Right now I’m pretty biased towards Air Force because I like the style of living more.
Do they have the same opportunities and chances for scholarships?
I’d talk to a recruiter for each service to find out what benefits they offer. Last I heard, the services vary their scholarships widely based upon their needs at that time, and they can vary from year to year. Many of the scholarships went to engineering students, but there may be good benefits for nursing students also. If you do not receive a scholarship, I believe you still receive a stipend and are paid for time during the summer. You might want to check whether any service during the summer may conflict with any other summer job you might have.
