Nursing Transfer Advice

Hello!

I am a nursing student at CUNY Hunter-Bellevue looking to transfer to Decker at Binghamton. I have a bunch of questions that I'd really appreciate if anyone could take the time to answer. I've already e-mailed an advisor about my questions but I am still waiting for a response from them and anyway I'd like feedback from anyone who knows anything about the nursing program and/or transferring!

As of right now I am a sophomore in my nursing program. Binghamton's program does not start until junior year, but I'd really like to transfer ASAP. Due to my current situation it would be better for me to transfer to Binghamton now (Spring 2014 instead of Fall 2014) but new nursing students are only accepted each fall semester so if I am accepted for the spring it would just be on general admission (I've already applied).

Does anyone know if it's possible to be accepted into the program early? (I know that one's a long shot.)

If this is impossible and I still transfer to Binghamton for the spring semester, does anyone know if my chances of being accepted into the program for the fall increase because I have already been in a nursing program?

Also, when should I apply to the nursing program? The nursing transfer FAQ page says transfers should apply early in the fall semester. Will this still apply to me if I am accepted to Binghamton for the spring?

Answers to any of these questions would be beyond helpful!
