<p>Two questions: (I'm a high school junior in FLorida)
1) What are my chances of getting into UF? I have almost all A's, and got the only C ever on my academic record last semester (AP US History). By the end of high school I'll have taken 9 AP courses, everything else is honors. I have a 4.2 GPA weighted, 4.0 unweighted, 30 ACT, 1750 SAT; I belong to National Honor Society, Art Honor Society, Key Club and am a Link Crew Leader (freshman orientation program at my school). I've been volunteering every Sunday for 2 1/2 years at my church and have volunteered for over a year at Florida Hospital (over 100 hours). My class rank is 40 out of 698. I've done marching band all through high school. I plan to do a summer volunteering program at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children. </p>
<p>2) how hard is it to get into the College of Nursing? I'm afraid I'll work really hard to get into UF and for some reason not be able to make it in the college of Nursing. Also, is the program very rigorous? Thanks.</p>

<p>you apply to the nursing college after you have completed 2 years of undergrad , so you would apply in your sophomore year. It is extremely competitive. They take about 125 people and those are not all UF students,the average gpa is 3.75 and the min is 3.50.</p>
<p>You could also look at fsu where you are admitted as a freshman…so as long as you keep your grades up you have a spot…but you must apply to the program and it is also competitive. I was acccepted to the program with a 3.92 fsu gpa and a 28 on the act. I have 9 ap’s 7 aice and the rest are honors. </p>
<p>Im hoping to get into uf and I will probably take the shot if I am admitted. I will go there for 2 years and hope I can get into nursing. This is called the 2+2 program and fsu is considered a direct entry program. </p>
<p>There is a huge distrinction and if you are serious about nursing you should look around,alot of people want to get into a direct entry program so that they are assured of their acceptance before they begin. If you feel like you will make the cut after 2 years and your grades will be good enought then “roll the dice”.</p>
