Nutritional Science 10 Materials

I'll be taking Nutritional Science 10 with Faghihnia starting July 5 and I was wondering what books and materials you guys would recommend buying for the class.

As it says in the following link, "MY DIET ANALYSIS CD ROM 3.0 SCIENCE OF NUTRITION" is the only material required for the class. However, will that suffice in getting a good grade? Do you think I should buy the recommended materials too? Is it worth it?

Here's the link: Class Textbook and Course Materials Requirements courtesy of Cal Student Store

Also, any tips on the class itself or for people who have had Faghihnia?

Thanks!

I took Nutri Sci fall of this most recent school year. Back then, I would have recommended getting the textbook just because it helped with the class. However, the format of the class has apparently changed since the previous lecturer, Nancy Amy, left. I guess that’s why the course materials have changed since last fall too.

Now, I would suggest just getting the required CD-rom and then wait until the class actually starts to ask the professor or GSI if the recommended materials are necessary for a good grade in the class (this is generally something you can do for all classes in which there are separate required and reccommended materials).

nancy amy isn’t teaching anymore? Dang, I enjoyed nutrisci 10 a lot with her.

Yeah, despite not really liking Nutri Sci, I’ll admit in hindsight that Nancy Amy was a good prof. She really tried to engage the huge class in the Wheeler lecture hall, even though we weren’t really feeling it, encourage questions, and her slides were always clear and helpful.

Would any version for mydietanalysis be fine?
