Nuts and bolts of 2015 Move-in - thank you for your responses

Does anyone know big the closers are? Should we bring 25 hangers or is that just crazy?

I mean closets of course.

I am guessing, but I am going to say about 30" wide. One thing you can do is get a double hanging rod like this:

My ds likes to hang his clothes, so we took one of these out with us. It can be especially nice for boys who typically don’t need long hanging space for dresses. However, we wound up not using it as ds wound up not needing the hanging space and the space below the top rod was better used for the laundry hamper.

We also bought those flat, skinny hangers - they really do take less space.

Thank you. Very helpful.

Are the rooms in Wilbur cinder block? Just wondering what could be hung. Thanks.

@myyalieboy - We used command hooks. My ds was in Stern, but I honestly don’t recall what the walls were. He didn’t hang much. Hooks for towel, white-board calendar, keys, belts (on this inside of the wardrobe door). What types of things are you wanting to hang? Here is a link to the Command site - might provide some inspiration. They have more than hooks.

Ds’s roommate put up 6, 1 ft x 1 ft adhesive cork tiles on his wall arranged 3x2 in a rectangle (I’m not explaining this very well) and then used thumb tacks to put in photos. Be careful not to use things with permanent adhesive - this is why the Command products are good.

Sorry I am the only one responding! Happy to try and answer in questions you might have.
