NVLD Support in Colleges in New England

I have struggled with learning differences all my life, including Non-Verbal LD as well as Depression and Anxiety. I am aware of several schools within the New England region that have strong LD supports..however some of them I am told do not cater to the Non Verbal Learning Style perspective (e.g.: Curry College)..I recently took the SATs and received a 1420..as you can see my discrepancy is clearly in Math..thanks for any help given.

Look at the Disability Services offices of the colleges you're interested in. Also, many colleges have some sort of tutoring program to help students get through required General Education programs. It looks like math is the area you will probably struggle with, but so do many students, and general tutoring programs would help. If you get a letter from a psychologist with the NVLD dx, you should be able to get extra time on math tests.

For depression and anxiety, many college counseling centers are very good and accustomed to helping students who come in with these issues, and are good with helping with the transition to college. Good luck.
