NYao,

Seriously, what's the issue here? I just read a sampling of your posts. It is rare to see someone with such an obsessive hatred of an academic institution. Today is not even over and you've clocked in 9 negative posts against UM. I have no idea how a school has hurt your feelings so much, but really, get over it. You should move on. I don't want to be mean, but go out, make some friends, get a girlfriend or boyfriend. Don't you find it sad that your life consists of posting 9+ times a day, railing against a school?

If many other posters find you helpful, I'll just shut up. That's what the board is for--informative viewpoints. But it strikes me that your posts aren't made in that spirit. Rather, they seem to quench some bitter emotional angst that you carry against the school.

Here's just a sampling of your posts (my comments in brackets):

"its not really surprising, another person from my high school the year i graduated, who only had a 520 on the verbal SAT got into honors at Michigan, i don't know how she's doing in honors because she couldn't speak english well."
[this last statement is non-sequitur in reasoning; it exposes your need to include negative statements even when it does not fit w/ the statement you are making.]

"another michigan "honors" student who got rejected from even a TTT like Tufts, and still waiting for Middlebury decision....."

"it doesn't separate you, u get to live in south quad with honors students, but the honors program at umich is pretty stupid, there is no special treatment."
[nyao, were you even in the honors program? you seem to sound pretty confident here.]

"goto wash u. name recognition, smaller department, seems like a school n the rise. if u want to go party every weekend, wake up in your own puke and study hard, michigan is your college."

"its a bad idea to think u'll get in ross, a lot of people have ruined their college careers this way. and the program is competitive, u need good grades to get good jobs. goto a lesser school if u have the option."
["ruined"?? wow, hyperbole much? i can't believe you're advising this person to go to a lesser school because his career will be "ruined" if he doesn't get into Ross]

I posted this here so others could chime in. If many other posters find your posts helpful in their decisions, then I'm wrong and you're right. It's my opinion that you clearly have a personal hatred of Michigan, and it seems more likely than not that you are unrepresentative of the typical UM experience and that you are misleading others who look for info on these boards.
