NYSSSA for Visual Arts (New York State Pre-college)

<p>D is a sophomore and is spending her President's Week vacation getting her portfolio together for review in order to gain acceptance into the NYSSSA visual arts program at SUNY Freedonia this summer.</p>

<p>Does anyone have any experience with their admissions process and the program itself?</p>

<p>I know the NYSSSA program has an excellent reputation for music and theatre, but our only exposure to the visual arts program is from their on-line web site. Looks great, but would love some first hand accounts.</p>

<p>My son did this program the summer before Junior year and it changed his life. Great teachers, kids, etc. One piece from that summer is still in his portfolio. Now waiting to hear from several art schools but already admitted to Purchase.</p>
