@Lemonade22 I’m using a school email that doesn’t have those tabs set up, so I’m seeing a flaw in this logic.

Like other people have said, it’s probably just a settings thing. I received an offer of admissions from another college in “promotional” so honestly it’s probably just an odd computer thing
Guys and gals, let’s not get carried away. I’m the first to jump on conspiracy theories, but this is the craziest yet. I don’t think the NYU server is making gmail distinctions.
My early action acceptance to Boston college was sent to promotional so there’s most likely no correlation
I got accepted to the University of Michigan and all of my emails from them, even invites to important events, go to promotional. This email was a mass email to everyone so it makes sense that it went to promotional. Because every person has an individual decision, the actual decision email will probably go to primary because it’s different for every person. Don’t stress!!!
I think the “promotional” and “primary” thing is just speculation. Colleges don’t separate acceptances and rejections like that, they know students are super stressed

Why do they say on or before? Will the release date be different for different people?

@IlluminatiIsReal it means that they will release all of our decisions either on April 1st or before April 1st. We are hoping they release them either March 29th or 30th
How hard do you think it is to get into Gallatin? I applied for CAS first and then Gallatin, but I feel like the competition at CAS is going to be intense this year

I applied CAS and my housing portal was closed for maintainence from yesterday until today but now I checked and the housing application says “Summer 2018 for Non-NYU Student” and now im worried… anyone else?
@mecce1 mine was under maintenance as well but hasn’t changed. Still shows options for summer, spring, and fall 2018. I wish I knew if any of this meant anything.
