NYU 2022

APs

yikes, ecs I meant

Oh shoot, I just didn’t realize that the NYU required a noncostodial parent CSS profile and now I have clearly missed the deadline…I am so stressed since I applied binding ED and the tuition is just super expensive without the grant…what should I do…

I am not sure, but I don’t think it is the end of the world. Even though you missed the deadline for this year, if you are accepted, you can contact the financial aid office about how to work out aid. If there is nothing that can be done for freshman year, you can apply for the NCP waiver the next year.

@JaqueBear NYU does release students from ED if they financially can’t afford it

please chance me! i posted a thread

@JaqueBear I read a previous thread where 2 people weren’t aware of the noncustodial profile, and they didn’t receive any aid, and they said they called NYU to explain their mistake and NYU was not forgiving and did not grant them any aid at all. But maybe you will get lucky, because after all that’s just what 2 people said, but good luck!

Thank you so much for your advice! I still turned it in though…I will call them and see of there is anything I can do.

Does anyone receive the email about the housing? I haven’t got any info about my housing yet…

I haven’t. Have past applicants received an email about housing before the decision date?

@JaqueBear @zolosc I haven’t either, but some of my friends have got them already, it doesn’t mean they are accepted, but at least their applications’ decision are being made, I think. But one my friend who is now in CAS, she said she didn’t get any email regarding housing before her acceptance. So I guess it’s random maybe?

@outofcomfortzone hmm yeah, it’s probably random just like the FA changes. I think probably the only change that admitted students receive is the housing change.

wait whats the email about housing? I haven’t heard about anyone recieving an email about housing before decisions are released. What’s the email supposed to say.

Don’t worry. There is no email about housing. It is just a portal we can enter using the credential we use for status check - the netID and password. The portal is this: http://housing.nyu.edu/newyork People are saying that when they log in, some can see their NYU email but others just their regular email such as gmail… and guess it could be a sign associated with acceptance.

Is the noncustodial file and css profile the same thing?

@Frances007 Yeah they have an email that have this link sent to them

@nyuhopeful44 they are essentially the same thing, except one is for the parent that you don’t live with and the other is for the parent who you live the most with.

I have the netid email, and my DOB. Which changed on Friday. My theory is that if it shows up and you didn’t get the FA change, they made your decision.

@adeedidya29369 by made their decision, do you mean rejected?

What if I did not apply for FA?@ adeedidya29369
