@anyexreita I think I’m going to take the transfer option to Cornell though! NYU is gonna be way to expensive and I cant justify getting in that much I debt since I already have my eyes on med school!
i got lost on the metro in new york. Had to do things to find my house again. not goin to that school
got accepted tho
@GiannaC3 would my chances at getting more aid after an appeal be higher or lower, if NYU has already given me 22k?
does anyone know if there’s an accepted students facebook group or groupme?
@GiannaC3 These are my stats:
UW GPA: 3.83 W GPA: 4.04
ACT: 34
SAT Subject Test: 790 Math 2
AP Exam: 4 AP Physics 1
Race: Half Asian half Caucasian
Yeah, you’re right. Chances are incredibly low that they would give me 18k after giving me nothing. It’s all good though. I’m happy going to UC Irvine
Got accepted to Gallatin but want to transfer into CAS, does anyone know how hard it will be? I also heard that you can only apply to transfer into CAS during the fall semester meaning I would have to wait a whole year, is that true?
Did anyone get accepted to the BA/DDS program?
@lemmesleep i got into gallatin too–if you don’t mind, what are your reasons for wanting CAS?
@andyarrgz Along with my acceptance to Gallatin I got a $30k scholarship, but it’s not enough for me to afford it. My parents agreed to pay for NYU, but only if I agreed to major in Biology and eventually study at their college of dentistry.
@lemmesleep :0 thats so… controlling of them… also im sorry about the money:(
@lemmesleep I was under the impression that Gallatin would allow you to study what you wanted to.
It’s individual study. Develop a curriculum that would give you entry to dental school. Problem solved.
@andyarrgz It’s alright. I’ll just have to apply for a lot of outside scholarships and hope for the best
@BTMSC98 My parents don’t exactly see it that way. They don’t see Gallatin as “a real school” and believe that I wouldn’t get a “good” career.
Does anyone know what the chances are to get off a waitlist?
Lmao soooooo i missed the css deadline and I was given nothing, but I’m still going
I’m about to be an outside scholarship King.
So they gave me 42,000 a year… meaning I’ll pay 32,000 a year and that’s all covered by a loan, nothing out of pocket. The thing is that leaves me with 128,000 in debt though… is it worth it? What do you guys think? Considering other people got 0… it seems relatively good; 128,000 is A LOT… not to mention that it’s an optimistic estimate.
If you really want to go, then go. Forget about the loans and everything. @nervousbean but just to note, you’ll owe more than 128,000 because of interest.
How long would it take you to repay that huge loan?
