NYU a Huge Stretch or Somewhat Possible?

<p>GPA: Cum- 3.07 UW, 3.36 W. Senior Year- 3.33 UW, 3.75 W. Significant Honors and AP coursework.
SAT's: CR- 740, M-610, W-760; Literature- 750, Spanish- 680.
Extracurriculars: Co-Editor-in-Chief of school paper, Co-Captain of Mock Trial team, Literary Magazine editorial board.
Work: Summers after freshman and sophomore year as a secretary in a law firm, 40 hours a week. Past summer and currently sales associate at Hollister, 12 hours a week.
Other: Cum Laude (school doesn't assign rank), A.P. Scholar (3 on U.S. History, 4 on Euro History and 5 on Eng Lang).</p>

<p>I want to apply to Gallatin and focus mainly on linguistics and foreign languages, which are my main areas of interest. I know NYU is a stretch but am I completely crazy? Honesty is welcome.</p>

<p>Your GPA is low but your SATs are decent enough. I think you have a probably chance.</p>

<p>SAT are good enough. GPA though is on the low side. But there is still a chance I would say.</p>
