<p>other than your GPA and senior grades, i would say you'd be a fairly competitive applicant. alas, a 3.1 is definitely a tad too low - and even though a 3.3 is better, it's still low. </p>
<p>Let's be fair, though. A 3.1 at a rigorous prep school is far different from a 3.1 at your average public school. Maybe you can get your counselor to include some information about how your school grades. And if your essays and recs really are excellent, I think you have a good shot at an in. Good luck.</p>
<p>i think you have an average shot, depending upon what your course load was. my cousin got in with a 3.13 unweighted but she had a very rigorous course load. i think she took 10 AP classes all together, and had EC's and worked too. she did also have extremely good recs and essays. so yeah, i think depending on those factors, you have an average shot.</p>
