oh, by the way, I don’t have TOEFL box checked in NYUHome, even though I have sent it. Is this ok?

what is the average SAT score of NYU abudhabi?
Does applying ED increase chance?

Congratulations to you guys who have received invitations. I still have not gotten one.

@CORNELLED1------The average SAT score is 700 per section. Here is more info on their class of 2014’s statistics:

[NYU Abu Dhabi Announces Inaugural Class](http://nyuad.nyu.edu/news.events/press.release.inaugural.class.html)

As for applying ED, I think it gives you a slight advantage, but nothing too big.

@elithefair – NYUHome? they have an application checking portal this year? I remember there was nothing like that last year. Still though, it depends on as to when you actually sent your TOEFL score. If you sent like a few days before deadline, then maybe they wouldn’t have received it, and if that is the case, then better write to NYUAD and tell them to notify that you will be sending your TOEFL scores.

@luqmanra & cornelled – its hard to actually determine a proper cut-off you know since NYUAD is open to accepting different qualifications like A-Levels etc./ local curricula etc. so its in reality difficult to determine an actual cut-off of SAT scores, cause there could be someone who could’ve got a bit decent SAT score, while all of his other materials are perfect.

@blackplant — I third Silky’s request! List your stats please ![]()
@all others who’ve applied ED-I — If you haven’t received an invite yet, be patient and positive and wait for the next 2 weeks, you would’ve an invite by then with God’s grace :)

@murtaza101
one of the seniors at NYUAD told meh that…his invitation to Candidate weekend was sent to him two weeks before the last CW…

so…it still means that we’v got chance right?

PS: well…if i submitted my app on 1st but u submitted urs on 3rd…does it necessary mean that my invitation to cw would be sent to me a lil bit later than urs?

I bet that a lot of the faculty and staff are trying to leave the program as soon as possible and using the holidays to come back to the States to interview for other jobs because the situation is so bad

excuse me, rainbowboywonder?
kindly elaborate what you just said?..what is it that you are talking about?

hey guys, i have a question for you. did you already fill out financial aid forms? if so, which ones? css profile, fafsa, etc…

@ IBathlete

applicants who are asking for financial aid should submit CSS form online…nd…the deadline is nov.15.

thanks Reconquista

@IBathlete, silkysilky23, murtaza101: I’m not sure if my stats would be very helpful because I did IGCSE and A-Level exams, so no SAT/ACT scores. But my GPA is 4.0, my rank is 1st in my year and I’m involved in my school & community quite a bit. :)

I agree with murtaza101. There’s almost a month left for the Dec CW so don’t worry too much guys :)

the last post before i go to bed.

I would like to post my STAT & ECS here…nd wutever…if i were not invited to cw…
at least it wouldnt be the end of the world.

SAT1: CR 670, WR 700,MATH730 (wut a shame for Chinese!)

community work/ volunteer <—was recommended by local community and elected as
top 100 students in Shanghai

nd …nice essays?(at least in my eyes. lmao)

GPA: we do not report GPAs nd count by percentile…I got a cumulative percentile for all courses like 86 . ( normally in maths nd physics or chemistry we would neva be able to get 85+,usually jus a 70 or a lil bit more)

good luck to everyone here…and…have a nice day!

Wow, nice to see some more people invited, I was getting lonely… :D

I am in a somewhat unusual boat I suppose so I haven’t gotten another email (yet) inviting me for the December one… but I do have a CW Login so I uploaded everything last month already.

Blackplant and NYUADhopeful (and hopefully others to come!) I look forward to seeing you in December! @Blackplant - how were your IGCSE/A-Level results? I submitted my IGCSE and AS-Levels (am sitting my A-Levels now…one paper left! :D) but I also did the SAT…just in case.

And sadly everyone else seems to be active during what is in my time zone 2-4am! So I wake up and post when all of you have gone to bed and vice versa. :(

@KiwiKid: Good luck with your A Levels! I’ll be doing mine next year. And I got 7 A*s at IGCSE and 3 As at AS Level.
I’m not sure if you need another email to invite you to the Dec CW if you’ve already submitted everything. & I look forward to meeting you there too :D

Impressive! I can definitely see how you made the CW already
Shall we compare notes on say facebook/email? I know that NYUAD often makes a group for CWers so I don’t want to intrude on that by making one…

I myself got 6A*'s and an A at IGCSE and 5 A’s at AS Level, and man it feels good to be finishing off high-school, even if it means that I have a half-year break once I graduate at the end of this month if I get into NYUAD!

Thank you! Your results are excellent. Are you doing 5 full A-levels?
Congrats on graduating this month! I have 7 months left haha, but yeah, I’m excited to finally finish high school as well. Have you applied anywhere else?

And PM me your FB/email if you like (:

I am just saying I bet that more than a few of the faculty and staff try to squeeze in some interviews for other jobs back in the States while they travel back for holidays because of problems with NYUAD

@blackplant – Finally an A-Leveler whom I know apart from Kiwikid!
Even I gave A-Levels and have already graduated from high school, taking a gap year. I did 3 A-Levels and got 1 A* and 2 A’s and I’m giving a further 2 more AS-Levels. I gave SAT I, II and TOEFL as well though
@Reconquista – definitely, wait the maximum you can till your appropriate CW
hopefully you’ll get the call.
