Apparently, the nyu website says my app is incomplete because they don't have my transcript. I'm pretty sure it was sent 2 months ago. Now I'm wondering if it only says this because they havnt received my transcript with my first semester grades...? Is that usually the case because my 1st semester transcript should be sent by next week.

If they don't have my transcript at all because it got lost in the mail or something, then requesting another transcript be sent would be pointless, as like I said, my 2nd semester transcript is supposed to be sent by next week. But would it be too late by then? Will they have already tossed out my application?

albert says it doesn’t have my transcript either and I sent it in november. I guess they just haven’t updated it yet? I don’t think it’s a big problem. if they contact you about it, that’s when you should try to figure it out! I know lots of people are having this problem, so I don’t think you need to do anything. good luck!

I have this problem too and I sent my transcript in November. Do midyear transcripts contain the junior year grades as well? Or would I need to resend my original HS transcript that they were supposed to recieve before?

mine said it was missing my transcript too and my high school sent it in mid December. nyu later emailed me on feb 1st saying it was incomplete (probably cuz i was ED) and told me to fax it over from the high school. they also said to mail the transcript again because even though they are reviewing my application with a fax copy, they need the original transcript. mine now says that it is complete.

if you are RD and they never emailed you, they are probably still sorting them out. they probably wanted to sort the ED first. i say wait a little bit more but if you are worried, you should call NYU.

It takes a while for Albert to process. So even if it says it hasn’t received it, the office might already have it. You should only ask your school to re-send one ONLY if NYU e-mails you saying that they don’t have it. If any case you are missing something, NYU will notify you through e-mail, not by online.

The online status-checker also says that my transcript is missing, so yesterday I called NYU. I was told that on the 15th they would be sending emails to all applicants with incomplete applications. The man said if I don’t receive an email, then I can assume thres a lag in the system online.

I asked my counselor today to send another one and she said they were sent and NYU acknowledged. It’s so annoying though. She said that she would send another one with my mid year report. I think my guidance counselor is beginning to hate me. I’m in there every day with some fire alarm.

I don’t think it’s necessary to send additional transcripts! if they haven’t sent you an email, they just haven’t put it in the system yet. I know I sent mine, but it’s not accounted for on Albert. obviously, they are so inundated with applications that they haven’t been able to put all of it in yet. Hopefully by the 15th they’ll be in! ahh I just want to know if I’ll get in…I want to go to nyu SO bad!! I wonder how they’ll go through so many applications in so little time. to us it seems like forever waiting through feb and march but for them that’s 2 months to go through SO many applications!

I checked today and it says they received my transcript. Phew. Buuuuut, Albert doesn’t seem to report on anything besides transcript, common app, and SAT scores. How am I supposed to know they got my recommendations?

my app is still incomplete, apparently we my school has received “some confirmations” and some people who applied earlier than me have had their applications confirmed by NYU Home. I read earlier on here that if your app was indeed incomplete and they truly did not have all of our materials that we would be emailed by NYU? I have received no email, should I call them?

I don’t know if it is ok … I sent them an email 2 weeks ago and they told me that they just treated the december mails … so i would have to wait a few weeks more and check back …

Does anyone know if NYU requires a high school transcript by mail for international students? Why aren’t the school forms with the common app enough?
