Hello,
I am a junior currently attending high school. I have a 3.0 unweighted GPA. Weighted GPA of a 3.45. I have currently taken 6 AP classes and the rest honors. I am Hispanic and will be the first in my family to go to a four year institution. I plan on majoring in biology and becoming a pre med with aspiration of becoming a doctor later in life. I speak and write both English and Spanish fluently. I have work experience at Starbucks and had an internship at the National Institute of Health during the summer. I have played baseball the first 2 years and plan to play my last two years of high school. I have been part of the Green Team at my high school; and have currently 315 community service hours with helping teachers throughout the school. Any advice for my senior year of high school next year. NYU is my dream school (CAS). Is there anything else I can do? Thanks

I think it would be a reach. Your GPA is a little below average NYU standards and the 640 in Chem might be below average. Your extra-curriculars are pretty good. The internship at NIH will definitely help you since you plan on being a pre-med student.

What’s your class rank? How many AP’s does your school offer?

Also, i think your cultural background will also help you.
I’m also applying to NYU (Stern’s Business School). Good luck!

reach but to increase your chance u can try to improve your gpa, nyu likes upward trend so if u can raise it up to 3.7 or 3.8 u will hav more chance. write great essays and get great teacher reccommendations! :)
