NYU Chances- Opinions and suggestions welcome!

<p>Hey all. The reason I'm posting this thread is I want to know what you all think about my schedule for next year. I also want go to New York University as my top school of choice. What do you think my chances are?</p>

<p>So here's what I'm currently taking and my grades! </p>

<p>My current Junior Schedule:
AP Psychology-A
AP World History-B
AP U.S History-B
AP English Composition-A
Russian III-A
Chemistry I Honors-B
Algebra II Honors-A
Computer Electronics-A</p>

<p>Next year I plan on taking:
AP English Literature
AP Human Geography
AP European History
AP Statstics
AP Government
AP Microeconomics
Intermediate weightlifting</p>

<p>16 year old male. I'm half Greek, half black and from Florida. I speak a good amount of Russian. Am I a "URM"? </p>

<p>Extracurriculars so far:
-Key Club 2007-2008
-Key Club Vice President 2008-2009
-AP Club 2007-2008
-NYLF Forum of Medicine Summer 2008
-National Honor Society-2008-2009
-Big brother for big brothers and sisters program(at a local elementary school)</p>

<p>So what do you all think? By the way, I suck at taking tests and have taken the SAT I so far and gotten a horrible score. I plan on taking it again along with a few Subject tests and the ACT soon.</p>

<p>Oh yeah, if it helps. Class rank=20/440. ~ Top 5% (Should definitely increase after this semester and after next year’s load)</p>

<p>Hey man I think you have a great shot. I got into LSP, which is slightly less selective, with fewer APs (6) and fewer A’s.
My Sat scores weren’t amazing wither, but my essay was kickass.
I’m pretty sure you’ll be in as long as you write a decent essay.</p>

<p>bring one of those Bs up to A and do just as well next year and im willing to bank on an acceptance. Besides, how can they turn down a russian speaking Greek/Black guy!? haha</p>

<p>P.S. study hard for the ACT its easy to run out of time!</p>
