NYU, Columbia, SUNY Binghamton, UPenn

I'll be applying next year (I'm a junior right now) and want to know what else I could be doing to help further my chances.

Weighted GPA: 4.0
Predicted ACT: 29-31
Predicted SAT: 2100+
Predicted Graduating Class Rank: 7/302 (Top 3%)

National Honor Society (will be running for President)
Varsity Tennis
Synthesis / Gay-Straight Alliance
Openly Gay
First Gen. College Student
Area All-State Symphonic Band
SAT IIs in Biology M and Global History
HOBY Alumnus
200+ volunteer hours by graduation

Plan on majoring in Anthro and International Relations.

I know since I haven't finished with SAT / ACT grades it'll be hard to nail those in solidly, but I want to know if I should keep pushing harder or resign myself to a less selective school. Thank you!

how do you know ur gonna get a 2100+? You can’t assume anything

All I can tell you at this point is a target score.

UPenn: Reach
Columbia: Reach
NYU: Aim for 31+/2100+
Binghamton: Aim for 28+/1950+

If you actually scored a 31+/2100+ then you might want to try GWU…

Penn: reach
Columbia: reach
NYU: high match
Binghamton: match

Penn: Reach
Columbia: Reach
NYU: Match
Binghamton: Low match

Good luck for NYU! The average SAT scores are around 2000-2100 for CAS as far as I’m concerned. The Ivies are a little out of range (average is around 2250+ and 4.4 W from my school). I’m applying as well, hope to see you there maybe?
