NYU Early Decision 1 Class of 2022!

@stressedaf2022 lol also a stern applicant here! Yes, all schools release at the same time, so it’ll be 1pm for you when results come out

Hi everyone! Current NYU student here. I applied ED as well, and I remember literally torturing myself over the release of the admissions decisions. I went on this website every day to see if anyone had any changes, and I would always check Albert for clues about whether not I got in. Because hindsight is 20/20, I’m here to tell you to STOP STRESSING over this decision. I never got any of the “changes” (which are fake, in my opinion), but as soon as I was admitted, all the portals (housing, financial aid, etc.) opened up. Don’t worry until 5 PM on the day of admissions releases. No matter what happens, you will end up at a great school. And please please don’t torture yourself over it now; when you’re in college next year, you’ll feel so much better and won’t even care about where you got in or where you got rejected. Best of luck to everyone, and I hope the stress ends soon! Hope to see some of you on campus next year.

it is literally my birthday today and I’m freaking out because I haven’t gotten an FA change, from California btw

yall please stop stressing! (as a current student at nyu, i’m here to answer/questions + moral support but seriously, seeing you guys stress is stressing me out)

the changes do NOT indicate an acceptance/rejection (i suggest you read this: https://nyulocal.com/breaking-down-the-college-confidential-myths-1e9e6ac1e7c5) + please stop worrying! i know how it feels (i went through the process last year). busy yourself with something else (maybe try learning a new language? idk) and friday will come before you know it. good luck <3 and hope to see you next year!

nice ish stats. theres no proof of legit interest in business though sorry to sound blunt

@stressedaf2022

@adeedidya29369 What do you know about NYU admission though?

@stressedaf2022 You should not do chance me’s on College Confidential. This is a discussion that has been had many times on the big applying to college forum on Reddit. Really you shouldn’t do chance me’s anywhere but CC is especially bad.

Have any Gallatin applicants in here had an interview, or been offered one?

not me @FLApplicant

No.

@Kd6410 near nothing. however, any undergrad business school would admit someone with business interest in the real world over a strong academic student. Especially NYU.

@Kd6410 however you are right I should not be responding to chance me threads as they can drive someone to a nervous breakdown. @stressedaf2022 forget what I said. Wish you the best of luck

@adeedidya29369 of course but you don’t know the applicant pool either - most students are not able to or don’t do business related things in high school. Especially if they didn’t know they wanted to do business until they were upperclassmen

you’re not an admissions counselor. the baseless statements you are making are unwarranted @adeedidya29369

@Kd6410 if you show dedication to your extracurriculars (business or not business related), you will be just fine. A guy from my school only did theatre and made stern yo

stop talking about chancing and responses to them. clearly pointless as decisions are coming out in 4 days and a strangers opinion doesn’t change the decision already made. not to mention college admissions to some point is bs and they are unpredictable. i know someone with a 2400 4.0 who got rejected from almost all ivies and someone with a 3.26 1350 accepted to stern. it’s all out of our hands.

There was a kid from my school with a 2.7 and 24 who was deferred and someone with a 3.87 and 35 who was wait-listed… so… ya lol. Let’s try and not do chance me posts so close to admissions. We are almost there people! Good luck to all, you all seem like great people

@adeedidya29369 My D got accepted as a full time MBA student at Stern this year with a full tuition scholarship. Her major was vocal performance—she received her BM from NYU in 2012. Her business experience was in casting, talent management and a year’s experience as a marketing coordinator for a law firm. In other words, her business experience was somewhat limited. But she many other talents and attributes that apparently Stern wanted. Don’t assume that Stern is only looking for cookie cutter applicants who want to go into finance and were in the stock market club in HS. Very few applicants have important business experience in high school. EC’s that show commitment and leadership can be in any area.

If there’s one thing I’m sure of though, it’s that there WILL be tears on Friday. No matter what lol.

is everyone able to log in to nyu classes

I can @deadpanclown
