so since I had an email on the nyu housing page, I decided to email it from my normal email account to see if the email would send and it did not. I got a message back saying that the email i was trying to message did not exist. so i don’t think email accounts are signs that anybody got in
Okay so I have my gmail there but as a summer kid I can access student center. I have non renewable undergraduate on one of the portals as well. One shows J term and spring. The other says no 2016-2017 academic year housing applications available. My long standing FA change disappeared from being a table to being just no award access available.
@lemonlyman328 Yay more summer kids! Can you go on your student center and look at your “Holds” on the right side of the screen? In that section, it says something about Fall 2017-Spring 2018 for me

i applied for tisch drama and had the FA update ( i think - wasnt really looking for it since i didn’t find this until today) until recently when it blanked out like everyone else. not sure about housing yet, but i did get the FAFSA email recently and did find that it would be a little strange to send that out to all applicants so close to the release date. trying not to overthink it though. knowing tisch, it’s so unpredictable
update: my housing says non-renewable undergrad but no email. it has 2 terms to choose from and takes me to a new screen to fill out housing and i just accidentally began an application for spring 2017. not sure whether to cancel it (it’s saying i will not have guaranteed housing for that term - not sure if that matters) lol. so don’t click on those - i will contact NYU about this accident if i get in haha. so hopefully this is a good thing that i can do that!
more updates: canceled the request because it said after today i would be fined $1000. so yeah. don’t click on that.

Alright, I think this stuff needs to end. I also applied to NYU early decision, and all this thread has given me is more anxiety. All this stuff about FA, housing and bookstore glitches is just a little pathetic. I understand that everyone is nervous and we all just want to know if we are accepted, but honestly these glitches mean close to nothing. If you look at the thread from last year, a ton of people who had these “glitches” and thought they were accepted because of them, ended up getting rejected. So why don’t we all just wait six more days and see the official decisions. Good luck to everyone, and remember that no matter what happens, the sun is still going to rise in the morning.
has anyone gotten the NYC-Freshman change on their housing portal? after extensively reading the thread of last year’s ED, that was a strong correlation with acceptance, but many of these didn’t show up until closer to the 15th. anyone have it now?
