NYU ED2 2019 Discussion/Decision Thread

@rainydayzzzz‌ I applied to Stern. No FA change yet. But i’m an international student so i’m not relying on it.

Hey guys my financial aid to do list changed to this : http://postimg.org/image/h1nw4bcin/

Is anyone else see anything like this?

Hey all. I’m a Stern international applicant and I think I got the change. FA status is now “2016
New York University
Award access not available.”

Is that it?

^^^ shady16, mine looks exactly the same.

@nyuaccepted‌ where did you get that a CW invite is similar to an acceptance… it really isn’t. Neither is a Shanghai interview. It is a major shortlist but from there a significant number aren’t accepted. Neither is an assured acceptance

@sarrahh Personal experience with students around…I mean I am asking in general, because I haven’t found a single person who got rejected after a Shanghai interview, so wanted to know about it…What about you btw? Any recent acceptance or shortlist?

@nyuas yes thats the change. When did the change happen for you?

@shady16‌ My financial aid to do list also looks like that, but I’m not sure if that was the way it was before or not? And I’m an international applicant so I don’t think there would be any change that would provide a clue anyways.

yes!!! well done!!! @nyuaus

still havent gotten an FA change…ugh should i just take this as a rejection already…

@rainydayzzzz No!!! there were people who got the change 7 days before the notification date for ED1. In addition the ed2 pool is larger than the ED1 pool.

@shady16‌ …how do you kow the EDII pool is larger than EDI?

Does NYU NYC factor in the midterm reports for the decision?

@kyokokun‌ They may if you request/want them to

@alexx09‌ I applied to Gallatin, but no change here…

UGH I FREAK OUT EVERYDAY WITH NO FA CHANGE…WHY NYU PLS LOVE MEEEEE

@rainydayzzzz YOURE NOT THE ONLY ONE DUDE

@imnyuobsessed I didnt get it either but I know people who applied to CAS who got it

Again, NYU does FA in batches. I freaked out a couple months ago as well since the decision date was approaching and I still didn’t have the FA change. I finally received it only a couple weeks before the decision day, so I would expect another batch or so in a few days or next week.

Also, I’m sure NYU has more ED2 applicants than ED1 so receiving the FA change might take longer.

hey @NYUFan101‌ how do you know ttht there is more EDII apps than EDI

@rainydayzzzz Just taking a guess. A lot of people go EDII after either getting deferred from their first choice or just because they weren’t ready to do ED1 in time. Historically, there are a lot more EDII applicants than ED!.
