@rainydayzzzz it just always is lol
@alexx09 maybe Gallatin does its FA stuff last…it’s mostly CAS and steinhardt right now (with a few people from Stern)…idk
if there are more applicants in edii does that mean it’s more competitive?!
IMPORTANT
On the MOBILE version of the NYU Albert site, in the holds section does it still say that you haven’t submitted the CSS yet even though you have?
Hey everyone,
I’m a domestic ED II applicant to Stern, and I logged into Albert for the first time today. Under FA Summary, I see “Select aid year to view// Award access not available”. Is this indicative that I have received the change? Or has it not changed? I have seen changes that have the year and slightly different texts. Please let me know!
yeah thats not the change…sorry @johnbourdain
wait what? i thought that WAS the change? isn’t like 2016 and then award access not available? if that’s not the change then what is? :((
@helloiamnice how do u access the holds section
2016 is the change. If you don’t have 2016, you don’t have the change.
@helloiamnice i have no holds at this time. probably because i submitted CSS way back in december lol
I never signed up for the FAFSA and FA, so would there just always be a not available sign?
@2cassandra2 are u talking abt the FA change? Even if you didnt apply for Financial aid u still get the change
Nope. Even if you didn’t sign up for FAFSA or CSS, you should still get the change.
@NYUFan101 hey, what do you think aout nyu admissions??? do u think its very hollistic…for all schools?
or anyone cna answer it ^
@rainydayzzzz Yea. I had a very low GPA but great EC’s and ACT and good essays and recs. They wanna see that you are really interested, passionate about learning, and have something unique about you. If you are lacking in some areas, you can make up for it in others.
I agree^. My HS posts all the admission data for the previous year. There are A LOTT of people who got in with below a 3.5 gpa.
However, different colleges weight somethings more than others. Tisch weights your portfolio more than your grades, whereas Stern expects stellar grades, and CAS might expect an outside of the box approach to things.
@NYUFan101 What about internationals? I’m under the impression that without FAFSA and FA we don’t get the change at all.
Not sure for internationals. I know from ED1 some internationals got the change and some didn’t regardless of FAFSA. Unfortunately, you can’t know anything from FA as an international.
