NYU FA low income

HI. I have a just below average GPA at a prestigious HS in NYC but I can probably get in NYU EA II. I want to apply to the Stern school of business. How much FA will I get in total? My father is unemployed and my mother earns like 18k a year. My parents are willing to pay about 15k a year. Is that possible?
How does EFC affect how much they give me?
Also, I really want to stay in NYC. I am going to live at home.

NYU is renowned for giving bad aid and a ton of loans to low income students.

Apply be all means. But make sure you apply to some more affordable schools that you can afford if NYU offers you $30-40,000 a year of loans (yes, we have seen low income 0 EFC students posting aid from NYU with that level of loans).

Baruch will be MUCH more affordable for you and is respected for business.

???

Apply, but realize that NYU won’t likely be affordable…they give terrible aid and your stats aren’t high enough for merit or preferential packaging for FA.
