@sally305 I am getting fee waivers, and my grandma said she would pay for any apps I couldn’t get a waiver for. and my stats match all of those except math. With current SAT score I have 660 CR, 720 Writing, and 560 Math but I am retaking it in December and have been studying math a lot. I’d like a higher CR too, but if I concentrate and study a bit more (I didn’t study at all the first time I took it) then I’m sure I’ll be fine. It’s just math that worries me, but if I keep studying I could get at least a 620 no problem. @thumper1, I don’t know about any of the loan stuff. Both my parents and grandparents are very against it. If I can’t get into an out of state school that covers financial most or all of my tuition then I’ll have to stay here.

srf, just know that many schools completely ignore the writing section. It is newer than the traditional M/CR and the jury is out on whether it measures anything at all (especially when so many colleges ask for essays anyway). If you are interested, read up on it in the Chronicle of Higher Education, or look at the individual schools you are interested in to see if they care about it.

I agree that you should try again for a better math score. Good luck.
