Well, Right now I am in the Army, but as soon as my enlistment is up, I'm planning on going to school for Music Business. I want to eventually end up in A&R, and from what I've researched NYU and Columbia Chicago have the most respectable programs for this degree, and while I love Chicago, NYC seems more of my style.
My question is on the Audition for NYU. It says one is required, but experienced performers are not necessary for this program. I self-taught me to play Acoustic Guitar, and I've currently been playing for a year and a half, and I can sing, but that doesn't necessarily mean I should, haha. I have been dabbling in Slam Poetry/Rap. That's my only music background. So if there's anyone that doesn't have a huge musical performance background, but has been through this audition, that would be phenomenal, but don't hesitate to input anything at all.
Thanks!
