I'm interested in applying at NYU's nursing department next year. I'm currently a high school junior, so i've got about a year to go.

I was wondering, for anyone who is in or graduated in the program, how was it? Was it well structured? Did you find that you were able to find a good job after graduation? How were the teachers? What were your high school courses, GPA, SAT scores like?

I am NYU parent and a registered nurse. Just curious and I don’t want to burst your bubble, but NYU tuition for the nursing program is outrageous. If money is not an issue then fine, but colleagues of mine including myself went to programs that were much more affordable and all graduate nurses to RN’s start out making the same money, The undergraduate program doesn’t matter. I know of several nurses who went to NYU for theit advance practice program for their MS and Clinical Nurse practitioner programs. if you want NYC,
Pace, Lehman, Hunter all have excellent programs for far less. You should look at all the options. Even the state schools have good programs.
I have been on CC for 2 years and I have never seen any postings from anyone in the program, its so curious.
I would love to hear from current nursing students as well.
