NYU Official Decisions - Class of 2013

These stat threads were very helpful to me when I was researching NYU last year and applying. It's time to return the favor for next year's applicants.

Try to keep comments out of this thread so it stays clean. Stats only please, acceptances or rejections.

=====================================================================

Copied from the Columbia Decisions Thread:

Take out all spaces inside the BBCode, which is everything surrounded by brackets. Anything inside the brackets should not have any space in them for the code to work.

[li] Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/rejected: Essay! Damn.[/li][/ul]General Comments: I still cannot believe that I submitted that essay! How embarassing. Good luck to everyone who got in :), and if somehow I end up slightly miserable at the college I am going to (I hope I'm getting in one; I wrote a brand new essay with a kick-ass editor to edit it) I might try and transfer. It's hard but definitely possible, I think. It's been a fun ride and I don't know where the general CC population got their idea that NYUers are snobs/wanna-be hipsters, because they are one of the nicest people on CC.

lol im kinda like u…i realized my essay wasnt that great after i got rejected from NYU. i used my original essay. the one i submitted said how ive lived my life (and what my family did) but i had a better one before someone told me i should do that one. i guess that helped to get rejected! : ] not really but oh well. im gonna try and transfer too i think. now im having second thots tho becuz i really dont know if i want to live in cold weather without theme parks…i live in cali and probably will go to los angeles unless for some wierd reason i get accepted to northwestern. or brown. or vanderbilt. but i dont think soo lol

well the funny thing is that I really love it where I am now and there is no way that I am transferring out…I have 2 friends who were rejected by NYU too and they were thinking about transferring, but they decided not to now haha.

Things change and I can’t see myself being at NYU now. just adding my 2 cents :slight_smile: good luck with your apps though! if anything, pick the school that you know you’ll be happiest at, and don’t think about transferring odds; it will drive you crazy!

yeah northwestern vanderbilt and brown are soo hard. my sister got into stern but was rejected from those 3 so don’t fret if u get rejected babygrl

oh i know. i just applied to those cuz i had nothin to lose but money. i dont think ill get into them anyways. i probably wont get into half the schools i applied to lol but i had one chance to apply and took it.
