I got into both but NYU gave me more financial aid, it is also more expensive to live there

It depends. What is your intended major for both schools?

International Relations

Well, if you are worried financially then go with Tufts even if NYU is offering you more financial aid. NYC is an expensive place to live in and expenses will be shooting out at you from everywhere.

It’s a close call. Tufts is great for Int’l Relations, but its cost is even greater than NYU’s, and Boston is also not a cheap place to live in by any means (although cheapter than NYC.)

Personally, I’d go with the school that’ll offer you the better education if you decide not to major in Int’l Relations, and that would be Tufts. More bang for your buck, since the school as a whole is better than NYU.
