I'm only a sophomore but I want to know how well the NYU pre-med program prepares you for medical school? And yes I know not all colleges have a pre-med program but I just want to know the statistics on how many pre-med students form NYU go to med school.

Sorry this is long thank you for any of your input=)

Prepares you just as well as any other top school will. However, it might be worth saving the $$$ by going to a state school, and then splurge on a top med school. A lot of freshman think they’re pre-med, until they get owned by intro level courses and settle on a normal major. I don’t mean to scare you, but at a large school like NYU, the intro level bio/chem classes are meant to weed students out.

That may be true but I heard that a large percentage of students from NYU (CAS) go to Med school…
but still thank you

^Yea true haha. It’s because the students are very pretty serious – I would know. I go there. Those who aren’t serious about pre-med will be weeded out by the difficult grading of the intro classes.
