@premedshep can I ask, is that $46k all scholarships? Or does it include loans, and if so, how much was the true scholarship amount? My son received $37k and I wondering if I should have him call to see if he can have that upped (3.993 UW GPA, 35 ACT). He was also accepted into their Honors Scholars Program. Thanks!
We have scholarships from 5 different private schools and the run rate is to pay between $30K and $40K (including room and board) annually after scholarships. This is inline with instate California UC schools. If you are paying out-of-pocket much more than $40K annually, it’s too much for an undergad degree. Save your money for grad school where it will really count. In the long run an BA from UC Irvine will be just as good as NYU. This is the biggest emotional buy of all time. Be smart!
Any Presidential Honors Scholars ?
To Future Applicants:
I was accepted into the CAS for Politics after getting deferred ED2.
SAT: 1250
GPA: 4.1/5
State: NJ
gay latino male
Housing Changes: When I was deferred from ED2 I only had Summer 2017, but for Regular Decision I had Academic Year 2017-2018 with nonrenewable for a month or so. The change to freshman came around 2:45 pm for me and personally decisions posted around 3:10 pm
I had a lot of extracurriculars and I would say my letters of recc were probably good ( I didn’t read them). Dont lose faith while you wait for your decisions. You truly never know what is going to happen.
Accepted into Steinhardt for MCC (Honor’s Program)
SAT: 2060
GPA: 4.4 Weighted
State: PA
APs: 7
Lots of Extracurriculars, all focused on performance
2 Jobs
Housing changed to “Freshman” a few minutes before decisions
Couldn’t access OrgSync
Financial Aid did not have “2018” as an option
@nikkit21 yep I was!
does anyone know how hard it is to internally transfer from steinhardt to cas?
@kibbles Congrats on your acceptance to NYU and other even more prestigious universities!I’m an IB candidate too, so I can imagine the hard work you’ve done for your awesome stats! May I ask which college and major you got accepted into at NYU?
CAS undeclared. @randompeer. Thanks. Probably going to go to Berkeley. How about you?
does anyone (who got accepted) still have “award access not available” on their financial aid summary table on albert? I emailed and they replied basically saying that it should be updated soon. or did anyone’s table update (from having “award access not available” before) and now shows some financial aid or scholarship?
Accepted as an international in LSP. 1520 SAT 92.5 GPA.
Loved the program but didnt realize it firsthand and choose not to apply for it as primary.
Got into Newsclasses.nyu days before the decision comes out. I think there is a possible correlation between this website and the indication of acceptance. However, I could not log into this website two weeks before the decision came out WHEN A LOT OF GUYS ON CC SAID THEY HAD THE ACCESS
so for the future applicants: DONT LOSE HOPE IF YOU CANT ACCESS THE WEBSITE SINCE THERE IS A DAMN GREAT POSSIBILITY THAT IT HASNT BEEN UPLOADED YET.
SEE U IN NEWYORK
@Jslam321 Congratulations!! Currently on the waitlist for NYU and i applied for Steinhardt’s MCC program as well. That really is a huge accomplishment, I hope to see you in the Fall!!
anyone still waiting?
@sarahrod99 on the website, it says all decisions are out. Did you check the portal?
@indiahyland mine, inspite of my acceptance, says “Award access not available” as well. So we are in the same boat. I am still waiting
Is there Anyone here who has been accepted to Tandon School of Engineering? My potential major is Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering. Let us get in touch

Hello,
Does filing only the CSS and not the FAFSA prevent an applicant from NYU scholarships/grants? Or in other words, would one still receive a scholarship/grant if he or she were to only file the CSS? Thanks for the help, means a lot!
Anyone got accepted to SPS? My major is Sport Management…
@JPSM1234, I don’t think you can/need to fill the FAFSA form unless you are an American citizen. International students can only fill the CSS Profile and be eligible for need-based scholarship.
