***NYU Regular Decision Class of 2021 Discussion***

@atown2017 I do happen to be an American citizen, does this change anything in terms of scholarships if I only filed a CSS and not a FAFSA? Thanks for the response btw.

should it show up in “application status”

yes

@lulusure yes

@JPSM I think you might need to fill both forms. However, I am not sure how it affects the amount of scholarship you get if you were to one of them. Contact the office and tell them that you have only filed the CSS and see if they might come up with a solution.

@atown2017 I got into Tandon :slight_smile:

@atown2017 has your FA page updated yet? mine still says not available :frowning: I’m really confused as to why they didn’t just finalize all the FA stuff before releasing decisions

@imasian111 @atown2017 Same, undeclared, but most interested in a form of bio/chemE. Are you both committed or undecided still? I’m in between NYU, OSU, and Pitt

@atown2017 I’m also Tandon! So excited. Anyone else from New Zealand?

@indiahyland Mine also says “Award access not available”. I’m going to be calling them right when they open on Monday to ask about this. Hopefully it doesn’t mean no FA :-S

For international applicants:

I applied and was accepted into the Tandon School of Engineering (freshman)
Country: New Zealand
SAT math: 700
SAT reading: 690
SAT Essay: 6/6/6
SAT Literature: 590
SAT Maths II: 650
SAT Physics: 670
Personal: Female, Chinese (but NZ Citizen), middle class.

Those were my top scores. I sat the new SAT 3 times, literature once, maths II twice, and physics twice.

Haven’t heard anything about a scholarship/financial aid yet, but I’m really hoping for something, especially because of the exchange rate between NZ and USA…

I did NCEA in school (National Certificate of Educational Achievement), which is my country’s most popular system. Very, very, very few schools do any other system. No AP classes or anything else, just NCEA and SAT.

My country doesn’t official use GPAs, but NZQA (the national board who looks after NCEA) calculates GPA equivalents on request, and mine was 4.0 (out of 4; I’m not quite sure what weighted/unweighted means).

A lot of extracurriculars a lot of which were music-based but some were academics-based, too. A few of them involved receiving national awards. I also had one part-time job during school for a year.

I’m actually really surprised that I got in, since my SAT scores weren’t even that great, but yeah. I think my essays were decent, but not spectacular. I think I got really lucky, but I’m still super stoked on being part of the class of 2021!

Hope this helps any other international students out there looking to apply :slight_smile:

Can anyone give me some insight as to why I got accepted into the LSP Program with pretty high stats? 3.8 UW/5.04 W. 32 ACT and IB diploma candidate. Applied to CAS.

Not to say that LSP is bad in any way, it’s just that I was always under the impression that its where they admit applicants with lower stats.

@lulusure I was

@lulusure
I was accepted to SPS Sport Management. What do you think about this program?

@qwertyyy123 I don’t know, LSP isn’t always that way. Lots of kids apply directly to LSP as their first choice now. If CAS was full and you put LSP as your second choice, that’s just the way it happens sometimes. Which campus did you get for year 1?

If you Click the “Events” tab on the left-hand side at Albert, do you have any events available? Try to register for Weekend on the Square, but No event available for you is written there. Anyone with the same problem?

@cyborgx are you clicking on the tab under Events that says: “View/Register for Event” You should have that tab and once you click on it, you can see the calendar with events listed. Are you seeing a calendar with no events? Are you on the month of April?

@Fishnlines29 yes, I am clicking on this tab, but No events for you is written there, and no any calendar. Looks like I have to contact them. Thanks for your answer.

@cyborgx Yes, I would call. Did you get an email invite yesterday? Maybe you have to click on that first, I doubt it, but maybe.

Yes, I got email, and I click on it first, but nothing changed…

Anyone else get accepted into Schack Institute of Real Estate?
